19 Ιουν 2019 · My first trap gun was a Remington 870 TB with a 30” Full choke. I shot several 100 straights with it and made it back to the 25 yard line. They are good guns, the older ones were very nicely finished and the actions were very smooth.

4 Αυγ 2022 · Remington actually made an 870 Trap Gun with a fixed choke that was marked "Mod Trap". I have one but it need to be re-blued. they could be ordered with mod or full barrels in the 870 trap
27 Ιουλ 2010 · I use a Remington 870 with an Angle Porting non-ported, improved modified choke as my dedicated trap gun. It destroys clays just as easily as the expensive guns. Sure, it doesn't have the high rib but it is what I'm used to.
7 Δεκ 2015 · If you find that you shoot better scores with the IM choke then practice with the Full choke and use the IM for tournaments. Handicap from the 20 yard line IM. Doubles: IC bottom barrel 1st shot; IM top barrel 2nd shot.
23 Φεβ 2012 · If you are going to invest in a good set of tubes, look to Briley. They are tops in chokes. They don't just use .xxx" for a modified choke, they measure the bore and use the proper constriction. They offer chokes from: cylinder bore = no constriction skeet = .005" constriction improved cylinder = .010" constriction light modified = .015 ...
20 Απρ 2023 · Those chokes are what you need for trap. However, if they are not extended chokes, you should buy a new set. Flush chokes are good for skeet and sporting clay where you don't usually rest the point of the barrel on the shooting pad.
