19 Ιουν 2024 · I shoot a Browning Citori CX, 12 gauge, 30" barrel over/under shotgun and right now have been using Federal Game Load Upland shells (1290 FPS, 7.5 shot) and using a Modified choke. I've tried using the same ammo with an Improved Cylinder choke also, as well as using 1145 FPS with a modified choke.

Yes, there is little room for error using a tighter choke, however, it will make you a better pointer/shooter in the long run. For singles and handicap, I shoot a .038" choke, and for doubles I shoot a .020/.034" choke setup....

17 Αυγ 2019 · Most trapshooters will do as well with a Mod choke from the 16 as with a Full. A "quick" shooter will smoke the same targets with a Mod as with a Full. A slow shooter may need a tighter choke, since the birds will be further away when they pull the trigger.

2 Αυγ 2022 · In singles, a shooter with good eyesight/fast target acquisition and fast reflex/response can get by with less than the full choke as the bird is taken somewhere around 30 yards away for alot of shooters where modifieds work nicely.
