19 Ιουν 2024 · I shoot a Browning Citori CX, 12 gauge, 30" barrel over/under shotgun and right now have been using Federal Game Load Upland shells (1290 FPS, 7.5 shot) and using a Modified choke. I've tried using the same ammo with an Improved Cylinder choke also, as well as using 1145 FPS with a modified choke.

7 Δεκ 2015 · Using a tighter choke helps produce the "smoke balls" we all like to see while shooting. Yes, there is little room for error using a tighter choke, however, it will make you a better pointer/shooter in the long run. For singles and handicap, I shoot a .038" choke, and for doubles I shoot a .020/.034" choke setup....
23 Σεπ 2017 · Pattern the gun with the loads you want to use, then choose the choke that gives you the best pattern density and relative to POA/POI. That would be the winner! For my set up it's LF(.030) for singles and 25yd caps, and LM(.015) and LF(.030) for doubles.
2 Αυγ 2022 · A full choke will push the bird as it breaks telling you if you’re behind, shooting high etc. Most targets are broke 20 yds past the house. 16 yard line plus 20 yds past the house is a long shot. Many new shooters wait to long and the target is 50-60 yards away and dropping.
