Once you get to the Home Screen, go to settings > general > software update. Update to iOS 18, then factory reset the device and transfer as you normally would.

Best thing to do is to is do a factory reset (on the 14 pro). Once it's up and running and you connected it to your mobile carrier or wifi, then do the system update. It should have no problem getting to a server to download it once it's got at least 25% charge. Do the update, then let it reboot.
