A +1 Critical Cross Chop, which has 25% odds in Gen 2, can outright KO any mon that does not resist fighting moves. +1 Machamp also 2HKO's Zapdos with Rock Slide while surviving 2 Thunders, comes close to an OHKO on Nidoking with Earthquake and OHKO's Gengar.
There is no single best OU team, the game is too complex for that. However, you could try out some of the sample teams on Smogon and see which ones you like using and start customising it to your liking.

Kingambit is the reason I made this team, it's my favorite gen 9 mon, and thankfully it does great in OU. I send it out late game usually to take advantage of Supreme Overlord, and just clean up everything left.
23 Φεβ 2024 · This Sun team got me to the 1600s in Gen 9 OU. Torkoal sets the Sun with Drought and lays hazards with Stealth Rock, while Rapid Spin denies opposing leads hazards. Lava Plume deals a decent amount of damage and Clear Smog keeps Volcarona from setting up for free.
