29 Ιουν 2021 · On Monday, June 14, 2021, I made a simple goal: buy my antenna wire en route to Lake James State Park, build the antenna on site, and complete a valid Parks On The Air (POTA) activation.
Step 1: Weakest Is Best. If I am left alone with an AM radio, the first thing I usually do is tune around the band until I find the weakest station there is, then I listen to see where it is coming from. But without an external antenna, the station isn't usually all that far away.

8 Ιουν 2017 · There is no direct connection of the loop to the radio, it is inductively coupling with the radio’s own ferrite rod antenna. An effective solution to this problem is elevating your antenna with a tall mast. We figured 40 feet is tall enough to improve your radio or TV reception. It’s easier to buy one, but where’s the fun in that? I found 16 DIY 40’ antenna mast plans to help you find better reception.
23 Ιουλ 2017 · My best antenna setup was a Hustler 6-BTV on a homemade tilt over. It was easy up - easy down and performed well on our aluminum 5th wheel. As previously mentioned, fiberglass is more of a challenge.
