At their best tutors are redundancy for cards you need at the time. If I need a specific card effect you best believe I'm running multiple ways to get it, whether in having multiple cards that do the effect like the [ [blood artist]] in aristocrats builds or [ [Azusa lost but Seeking]] in lands matters decks.
