The LEGO Movie Video Game (as silly as it sounds) is quite good for 2-players. For single player action, go with Undercover. LEGO Batman 2/3 are quite good too.
Marvel Superheroes (the older one, not Avengers) or Jurassic World would be the best best. Any of the newer games would be fine. Batman 2 has a good open world like Marvel, but Batman 3 went with weird small hubs.

I gave the LEGO Batman 3 demo a try last night and thought it was great. But I want THE BEST. Lego City: Undercover. I've only played LEGO Marvel Super Heroes and liked it quite a bit. Though, I hear LEGO City: Undercover is a masterpiece, so I'd definitely go with that.
