20 Αυγ 2020 · The PCSX ReARMed developers recently changed the 3DS builds to use PCSX4ALL’s Unai renderer, which is less accurate but faster and now allows many PS1 games to run at full speed. This is mostly applicable for the New Nintendo 3DS while the old 3DS won’t be able to emulate many games at full speed.
I have a few emulators installed such as Snes9x, Picodrive (Sega Genesis emulator), mgba, and TWiLightMenu (which some would argue if this one is even consider an emulator, since the 3ds can already play NDS games).

Currently, the New 3DS is capable of running much faster than the older models, making it a much more ideal platform for emulation, but despite this there are still some emulators that have issues regardless.

25 Οκτ 2024 · Actual cart speed and the ability to play every single DS game. Coupled with features like multi-saves, cheats, some carts have an RTS, etc. Basically flashcarts in the DS scene is better overall compared to emulation, especially on the 3DS.
If you're asking about how to play .nds ROMs, you will need to: Install TwilightMenu++ (it can be found in the Universal Updater). Put a .nds file on your 3DS under /roms/nds/ Launch TwilightMenu++. It should boot up a menu which looks like a DSi. Navigate to your game and click it to boot it up.
