1 Μαΐ 2023 · Best Hunter Pets in The War Within. In The War Within, all pets do equal damage. The only thing that differentiates Pets are their specialization (Ferocity, Cunning, and Tenacity), and their "Family Ability." Unless you are doing competitive content, you do not have to worry about having the "right" pet.
A bat or owl with Screech is useful for progression raids when tanks/healers aren't geared enough, and great in 5 man dungeons and leveling as well. Wolf is BIS for farming Dire Maul Tribute as the Howl ability makes ping ponging aggro much easier. This will probably all change in TBC.
Broken Tooth is the best pvp and pve pet. I know a lot of hunters use the wind serpent from ZG but its a "too lazy to get the genuine article" pet really. BT is great because of its super fast attack speed that helps in pvp for spell pushback and in pve it just does the most damage.
