5 Φεβ 2023 · To deliver ear medication to your dog, start by having the dog lay down, wrapping your arm around its neck, and holding its front leg with your hand to keep it still. Then, hold the dog’s ear flap open to expose the ear canal and aim the nozzle of the medication into the opening.

Though it’s simple to drop the medicine to the ears, the whole process can be overwhelming if your dog fails to stay still. It’s a struggle for a lot of dog owners, perhaps, including you.
Before you give your dog ear drops, you should first use a veterinary-recommended ear cleaner to get rid of any wax or discharge. Put the ear cleaner into your dog’s ear and give the area a gentle massage (see more on how to massage below).
12 Ιαν 2024 · Once your dog is in position, pull its ear flap up, squirt the ear drop, then massage it gently. You should do this in a second or two without hurting the pooch. After administering the ear drop, give a treat so your dog will associate the experience with something positive.
