20 Οκτ 2021 · Here we investigate the relation between bilingual infants’ development of native speech perception abilities and the acoustic properties of their caregivers’ speech.
During their first year of life, infants undergo a process of perceptual learning and acquire specialized knowl-edge about the phonetic, phonotactic, and lexical prop-erties of their native language (Kuhl, 2004; Werker, 2018 for reviews).
