16 Απρ 2020 · Zinsser BIN is the industry leader in shellac-based primers. You wouldn’t use it as a finish coat. It’s more of a problem-solving product before overpainting with something else. Zinsser BIN is a stain block, adhesion primer and barrier coat all in one. With a drying time of 15 minutes and re-coat in 45 minutes.
22 Φεβ 2018 · I need to know which product is superior for: 1. Drying time 2. Sealing plaster and drywall board 3. Leaving an even sheen on the wall (no weird flat spots) So far it looks like BIN primer might be the winner with a 20 min dry time vs GARDZ is 30 mins, but anyone have personal experience and preference with these products?
28 Ιαν 2018 · Zinsser BIN is a white-pigmented, shellac-based primer that seals surfaces to keep sap and tannin from bleeding into paint when you're painting wood. BIN is what I use the most for priming kitchen cabinets and tough stains on drywall.
2 Σεπ 2021 · For porous surfaces and ceramics such as tile Bulls Eye 123 is the Zinsser primer to choose. For blocking odours and also priming glossy surfaces such as kitchen cabinets then you should choose Zinsser B-I-N.
10 Ιουν 2020 · Bare wood that has been exposed for more than 4 weeks should be lightly sanded with 80-100 grit sandpaper to remove loose or weathered wood fibers. For new Cedar and Redwood applications, allow B-I-N Shellac-Base Primer to dry 24 hours before painting or topcoating. Sand interior bare wood surfaces using medium to fine grit sandpaper."
4 Οκτ 2023 · Zinsser BIN is touch dry in 15 to 20 minutes, but it has a recoat time of 45 minutes. This is more of a guideline, as drying times can be reduced in dry rooms with good ventilation. However, my advice would be to stick to the recommended recoat time.
29 Μαΐ 2021 · Zinsser Cover Stain Review. Zinsser Cover Stain is another primer, sealer and stain block. This time it’s oil-based and drying time is extended to a couple of hours. Cover Stain is probably one of the best adhesion primers on the marke t when used over old gloss paint, varnish, or wood stain.
