17 Ιουν 2013 · Olympia Rizal (1855-1887) is the fourth child in the Rizal family. Jose loved to tease her, sometimes good-humoredly describing her as his stout sister. Jose’s first love, Segunda Katigbak, was Olimpia’s schoolmate at the La Concordia College.
Olimpia Rizal or Olympia, was born in December 1854 in Calamba, Laguna, Philippines. She was the fourth child of Francisco Engracio Rizal Mercado and Teodora Alonso Realonda, one of the siblings of the Philippine national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal.

SECRET DEPARTURE FOR SPAIN Rizal’s departure for Spain was kept secret to avoid detection by the Spain authorities and the friars. He used the name Jose Mercado. May 3,1882 – Rizal departed on board the Spanish streamer “Salvadora” bound for Singapore.
