Birds can be assigned as a slayer task from Turael. They have no requirements to be assigned and are generally meant as tasks for beginners. There are a wide variety of birds, but the most commonly killed are chickens, seagulls and ducks, which are low-level, rarely deal damage and easy to access.

Hill Giants (Zeah) This area is surprisingly unknown, but I believe it to be one of the best locations to set up your cannon for some real XP gains. There are about 6-7 Hill Giants near the Shayzien Graveyard on Zeah.
They do lock birdhouses behind 2 quests, they aren't crazy difficult or anything (except the sailing part of bone voyage can bite me). I know it can feel less special since there's no way of knowing HOW someone got their exp, but if you had fun grinding it, that should be the important part.
