The real beauty of this is that you can /statusoff while in the middle of casting something and also keep your mouse free to interact with targets.

Macro's are mostly useful for crafting and small things like summoning your mount and finding the nearest gathering node. I can recommend teamcraft or this online simulator to make crafting macro's. Just remember to check if you filled in your stats correctly
