27 Φεβ 2023 · iPod shuffle not recognized by iTunes My iPod shuffle is not recognized by iTunes on my Mac. While it shows up under locations as an external drive labeled as an iPod, the folder is empty and there is no sign of any potential actions. Additionally, it is not recognized at all in iTunes.
The version of itunes on the windows store does not seem to install the "Apple mobile device service" which I believe lets itunes actually see the ipod. If you download itunes straight from apple it will have this service.
