5 Σεπ 2024 · Public safety power shutoffs occurred on one of the two main supply lines to Big Bear Valley including potential evacuation zones. This caused possible power interruptions when electrical demand exceeded thresholds. Today elevated winds and continued dry conditions will allow the fire to grow.

There are currently 65,600 structures threatened. This includes 13,300 structures under Evacuation Orders and 52,300 structures under Evacuation Warnings.
13 Σεπ 2024 · High winds and temperatures, combined with low humidity have been the primary drivers of the Line Fire’s rapid spread, which threatens the City of Big Bear Lake and surrounding communities. As 11/5/24, the Line Fire has burned 43,978 acres and is 98% contained.

8 Σεπ 2024 · 9/13/2024 - Morning. FIRE SUPPRESSION EFFORTS CONTINUE TO PROTECT THE BIG BEAR VALLEY – EVACUATION ORDER REMAIN IN PLACE FOR WEST END OF BIG BEAR LAKE. The Line Fire front continues to burn with overnight acreage burning approximately 200 acres, at a slow rate of spread and lower intensity.
