BlueWater’s world renowned SAFELINE® rope sets the standard for rescue ropes. The construction of the SAFELINE® series features a 16 carrier sheath and a 50/50 core to sheath ratio for unmatched durability and long wear.
NO. 1/2 ropes [ also referred to as “Double Ropes”] are drop tested using a 55kG falling mass on a single line. Twin ropes are tested with an 80kG falling mass on 2 lines. Single ropes are tested with the same 80kG falling mass on a single line.
Completely redesigned, the 1/2″ BlueWater II now boasts a 3 sigma tensile strength rating of 10,000 lbf. Its design of double twist cabled sheath strands and double twist cabled core strands make it the best all around choice in static/low elongation ropes.
The BlueWater Ropes Lightning Pro 9.7 mm is a lightweight for-the-diameter rope that handles well and is easy to clip. While we liked belaying and clipping with this rope, we had some durability concerns, as it was showing the most sheath wear by the end of testing.
5 Ιουν 2017 · The BlueWater Icon is a 9.1 mm dynamic climbing rope that is the only rope in this group certified solely for use as a single rope. Available in a number of iterations, including standard or dry treatments or bicolor patterns, the Icon proved to be durable though testers found it to be a stiff handling rope that was prone to kinking.
