25 Ιουν 2015 · I test drove it the other day and here's the symptom that I noticed: when the engine temp has gone over the quarter mark, the radiator fan would kick in at what seemed like max rpm. From inside the car I could feel vibration on the steering wheel when the fan kicked in.
2 Απρ 2022 · Hey everyone, I recently got this check engine light and I went to check the codes and "1D2404 map-controlled thermostat, control cable disruption" came up. Does anyone know how to fix this problem and what is causing it?
The Service Engine Soon light is on with one or more of the following fault codes: 1D2009 - characteristic map thermostat: clamped closed. 10921B - characteristic map thermostat, stroke sensor: short circuit to ground. 1D2008 - characteristic map thermostat: clamped open.
7 Οκτ 2016 · The Service Engine Soon light is on. A Check Control message for “Engine overheated” and or “Exercise caution!” may also display. The following fault codes may be stored in the DME: 1D2401 - Characteristic map thermostat, actuation: Short circuit to B+.
1 Μαρ 2019 · The Service Engine Soon light is on with one or more of the following fault codes: 1D2009 - characteristic map thermostat: clamped closed. 10921B - characteristic map thermostat, stroke sensor: short circuit to ground.
P.S. the scanner is from BMS JB4, the car is working fine, no error code on the dash board.
Check for corrosion or signs of electrolysis (electric current transferring through the coolant to aluminum water pump housing). Refer to the attachment “Inspecting the thermostat.pdf” for identifying a failed map thermostat.
