My active grille is not working, and it is driving me crazy. Getting these two codes from ISTA: 1) LIN Bus, message; radiator blind, top; missing. 2) Signal (status, cooling flap, brake, front axle, 257.6.8) invalid, transmitter DME/DDE.
2 Απρ 2022 · They replaced it but soon after it got fried again. They went back to check the actuator of the shutters and it felt hot. So faulty actuator. I don't think BMW sells the actuator seperately as it comes built-in with the air duct but it would be great if someone can confirm that.
16 Μαΐ 2022 · Here is what I have done: 1) Replaced top radiator blind actuator with a brand new one from BMW. 2) That did not fix the problem, so I checked all the wiring - looks good, and the plug to the actuator is receiving 2-3 volts so power is there.
13 Απρ 2018 · I had crank and wont start issue last time. Turned out that the power distribution box (under the hood left, passenger side) was faulty. Any good bmw software should be able to diagnose.
The previous errors cleared out when clearing the DTC. Now getting two other errors, CD9203-LIN, communication radiator shutter missing and CD9204-LIN, communication lower radiator shutter missing causing the warning indicator on the dash again. sorry for update.
A check engine light or check control message is present, and one or more of the following faults may be stored for the active air flaps behind the kidney grills: 13820D-Active cooling-air-flap control (AKKS), above: Driver, malfunction
11 Ιαν 2023 · Only codes that it triggers seem to be ICM related which I suspect are related to the power interruption. Codes are as follows: CD9203 - radiator shutters - Permanent (was in a minor front end accident and I think the shutters were not hooked up or something was damaged
