  1. Keeper's Do-it-yourself Ramp Kit is so easy to install and store. The kit comes with all the installation hardware required. You only need to buy the planks. Heavy duty, powder-coated steel for durability.

  2. DEAR TIM: I need to build a ramp that will allow me to get my lawn tractor into an outdoor shed of mine that has a wood floor system. I've never done this and wonder how it's done, what tools I'll need and what are some great materials to use.

  3. 9 Αυγ 2016 · I would recommend using 3/4″ plywood for the landing ramp and 3/8″ plywood for the kicker. Countersink and screw the screws into the 2×4’s of the skeleton. This will give you a kicker and a landing ramp.

  4. If it's a riding mower, than just build some ramps using pressure treated 2x4s. With the price of lumber, you'll still be paying maybe $50. You can get cheaper, untreated wood, but since it'll contact the ground you'll be replacing it more frequently due to rot.

  5. If the ramp is going to be outside I would recommend cdx plywood. Crazy current prices aside it would normally be much less expensive than birch ply, too. You could double up your layers to make a stiffer ramp, or add to your substructure so the ply has less flex between supports.

  6. Whether you need a sturdy ramp to get a mower into the shed, or want to practice jumps with your bike, you can easily build a strong wooden pallet ramp to suit your needs. One wooden pallet, some spare 2x4 lumber and electric and hand tools are all that's required to construct a ramp as good as any you could buy.

  7. 5 Αυγ 2011 · There's a plywood ramp from the ground (grass/dirt) to the shed door. When it rains, the ramp gets slippery. It stays slippery for a long time afterward, as it doesn't dry very quickly due to the shade (from trees).
