With its tang shape, the Borden Rimrock SSR Action is a direct replica of the Remington 700 short action. This right-hand, Rem .308 PPC Rimrock SSR action has a Remington handle and Borden Bumps for a very close bolt body to action bore fit when the bolt is closed.
29 Ιαν 2008 · I'm really not that familiar with Jim's actions, but I do know that the Alpine and Timberline series of actions are designed for the hunting rifle with a bit more bolt to raceway clearance than his other actions. All his actions are made using cnc machinery and should hold very tight tolerances.
The Mountaineer series also has Borden bump option and is referred to as Mountaineer RR. We are now taking orders for the Mountaineer Action model with integrated Recoil Lug. That model is available with two bolt fits 1) Regular Alpine 2) Rimrock.
8 Ιαν 2019 · The Rimrock actions utilize the patented Borden Bumps with a minimal difference in bolt and bump diameter to result in smooth operation and “tight” bolt lock-up. The action bodies are machined at full hardness of 38 to 40 Rc.
It is a Short action with .532" or magnum boltface. It has the Wyatts option and has a 3" mag well. It is Chromolly, in the white, still as issued from Mr. Borden. I will include the Tally customized bases. The bolt shroud and bolt release are SS. $1200 shipped to your FFL.
