3 Νοε 2014 · It's been an exhaustive process, but I think I have narrowed it down to Borden, based on my experience trying his action on a buddy's gun. It was by far (at least to me) the smoothest, tightest action I have ever felt. Looked to be flawless build quality, as well.
14 Ιαν 2019 · My most accurate rifles are built on Borden actions. Not sure how an action effects accuracy but that is how it works out. Very precise lock up and fast lock time.
18 Φεβ 2023 · I have a Borden Alpine that Karl Feldkamp built for me in .223 Ackley. It has to be one of the smoothest bolts I own and also one of the tighter fitting bolts. I've had this rifle ~15 years and never any of the issues you're experiencing. You should probably contact Jim Borden and inquire with him.
16 Φεβ 2015 · I own two rifles built by Jim Borden. Just like Bigngreen said, they really are top of the line. Both of my rifles are proven 1/4moa shooters, one is a 300 win mag the other is a 338 RUM. They are both scary accurate. I also think Jim Borden is among the best gunsmiths out there.
13 Φεβ 2017 · Borden is known for producing actions with amazing timing (amongst other things). Part of the reason why people are such a big fan of Impacts - they happen to have decent timing. The Borden will take it to another level though - proper timing is a function that has been highly valued to the benchrest community for a long time now.
3 Νοε 2014 · Not only has every one of his actions performed, any issues that may have come up were answered professionally. All my guns are Borden’s and was happy to help / sell Erik Cortina, Jay Christopherson, Shawn Williams, and several others their Borden’s.
