Bosch India Foundation is the social engagement arm of Bosch in India. Founded in March 2008, it focused on vocational skills and holistic community development. The Foundation currently works in more than 230 Villages and several urban locations across 6 States in India.
The Bosch value of responsibility is practiced towards society, the environment, products and customers, associates and young talent, and for corporate governance. All its activities follow national laws and universally valid rules and standards.
Since 2008, the Bosch India Foundation has been using its education offers to help people lead independent lives, regardless of their background. Its offering spans training courses for unemployed young people from rural areas through to self-help groups for rural women, who can thus start their own microenterprises and earn additional income.
BRIDGE (Bosch’s Response to India’s Development and Growth through Employability Enhancement) is a pioneering Bosch CSR program that helps fulfilling the growing need for skilled manpower across sectors in India.
At Bosch, CSR is not just a cheque writing institution that donates. Our NGO partners are made to work very closely with the CSR team, where they are also made to plan a detailed employee engagement strategy for the projects. Bosch India Foundation who is the torch-bearer of the social activities of Bosch in India is one of our major beneficiaries.
The Bosch Foundation undertakes Neighbourhood Projects in various regions, tailored to local community needs. These projects encompass Shyanumangala Lake Rejuvenation, aimed at preserving biodiversity and supporting local communities through the restoration of a vital water source.
