10 Αυγ 2013 · Here are my steps: 1. I Installed Skyrim and all expansions via Steam and ran the game once. 2. I installed the required programs needed for mods such as SKSE, Nexus Mod Manager, and BOSS. 3. I installed my selection of mods via the Nexus Mod Manager. 4. I ran BOSS which setup the load order.
12 Απρ 2014 · The BOSS userlist manager is intended to be used WITH BOSS, and not in place of it. It adds some features. BOSS is in the process of being replaced by LOOT. Which is a complete rewrite of the older BOSS by the same team. I don't believe the userlist manager will work with that - yet.
Mod organizer 2, no questions asked, both for beginners and advanced users. Beginners: Mod Organizer 2 is the mod manager that wabbajack modlists use. Nothing can be more beginner than a one click process to install a 1400+ mod list that you don't have to think about at all.

Using Total's Skyrim Overhaul as a base for a slightly larger (personal) list of mods and I'm loving it, it's one of the Wabbajack modlists. Highly recommended if you want challenging combat that's deadly, requiem, LOTD, and some varied NPC visuals and top quality world/item aesthetics.

BOSS also provides thousands of plugin-specific messages, including usage notes, Bash Tag suggestions, requirements, incompatibilities, bug warnings and installation mistake notifications.
