It uses BOSS Userlist rules to customise the order in which mods should be loaded and allows you to specify the load order for unknown mods without editing the BOSS Masterlist.

    BOSS's official support and discussion thread can be found here. Using mods for Skyrim, Fallout 3 or Fallout: New Vegas? Use LOOT instead, as BOSS's support for those games is relatively poor and no longer maintained.

Tannin discontinued the project when he was hired by the Nexus team to develop their new Vortex mod manager.

  5. The common bash against Vortex is the lack of manual mod management, but if you've been using BOSS/LOOT for any decent amount of time, you probably already know how to set custom rules, and maybe even groups.

  6. The two main mod managers are Vortex and MO2. While Wrye Bash also works, Wrye Bash biggest weakness is all mods are installed directly to data-directory and this means it's not easy and fast to switch between multiple profiles.

  7. 9 Αυγ 2013 · There is the program Boss user list manager (BUM) that you might want to look up. It is a way to set your own rules for BOSS. I don't know how to set user rules in BOSS but in BUM it is very easy. Speaking of mod managers I use Mod Organizer, it is a lot more useful than NMM.
