The Scouting America, Aloha Council. serves more than 4,000 youth throughout Hawaii, Guam, and American Samoa. Supported by more than 2,000 trained and Youth Protection Certified-volunteers, Scouting is the premier youth development and leadership program in the Hawaii-Pacific region!

Based in tiny Pa’auilo (population 586), the 14-member troop now serves boys from across the northern part of the island and will soon be joined by a girls’ troop. How did you grow beyond Pa’auilo?
The first troop in the islands, appropriately numbered Troop 1, was founded by a British Scouter just recently relocated, and chartered to Kawaiahao Church. One Saturday, former Queen Liliuokalani was driven past Kapiolani Park in Honolulu, and noticed this troop going through Scouting drills.
