6 Αυγ 2022 · If it has not been changed, it could be that your email account has been downgraded to the "Basic" email service when you let BT. The "Basic" email account can only be accessed using webmail and not with an email client/app.
For any Apple device, it's important to not only update your password in the main device settings, but also in the SMTP settings. If you don't do this, you won't be able to send emails. If you're still having problems, you can try deleting and re-installing the account.
16 Νοε 2023 · The new MacBook has a very simple system to add mail accounts, which doesn't allow you to input any port details or change SSL settings.. When I try to add my 123 reg webmail I get error message 'unable to verify password' and also 'you password cannot be sent securely'.
5 Ιουν 2023 · BT have changed from POP and have said the only way to access emails is through web browser or Outlook Web APP. I'm trying to establish if Apple have found a way to resolve this issue so I can continue to access the email from Apples Mail exchange.
27 Απρ 2023 · Not setting on the email account have changed, but Mail is now unable to verify the account and doesn't recognise by btconnect email password. The issue isn't with btconnect, as I am about to sign in via a web-browser it's just with Mail that there is an issue.
Fix any problems with your BT email account. Find a fix for login issues, problems sending or receiving emails and moving your account.
Repeat log-in failures are most likely caused because the password in your mobile device, tablet or email program doesn't match your email account. So when you change your password, it’s important you also update all of the devices you use to access your email account.
