12 Μαΐ 2019 · You beat me to it! I agree with most of what you posted with the exception of limiting 123 to spot priming. I trust 123 as a full bare drywall primer even when I don't use a PVA sealer as a first coat treatment. 123 also provides a decent sheen holdout for top coats.

24 Φεβ 2021 · Bullseye 123 has poor coverage x1 coat. SMART PRIME: I found that Smart Prime had much better coverage, and that the stains did not come back through when primed with Smart Prime. However, it has a thicker consistency.
2 Σεπ 2021 · For porous surfaces and ceramics such as tile Bulls Eye 123 is the Zinsser primer to choose. For blocking odours and also priming glossy surfaces such as kitchen cabinets then you should choose Zinsser B-I-N.

Cover stain is an excellent stain blocker for larger areas (for smaller spot blocking I prefer the shellac-based Zinsser BIN) but think it would be a waste to use cover stain as a general-purpose primer, though I hadn't ...
