The Lex Burgundionum (Latin for Burgundian Laws, also Lex Gundobada) refers to the law code of the Burgundians, probably issued by king Gundobad. It is influenced by Roman law and deals with domestic laws concerning marriage and inheritance as well as regulating weregild and other penalties.
The most commonly cited are the Theodosian Code, the Sentences of Paul, a post-classical work that contains summaries of what seems to be material written by the classical jurist Paul, and the Institutes of Gaius, probably known to the author through an epitome.
