1 What is Business Impact Analysis? A definition The BCI’s Glossary, BS 25999 and ISO/DIS 22301 all define a BIA as ‘the process of analysing business functions and the effect that a business disruption might have upon them’; the ASIS/BSI BCM.01 2010 definition is very similar.
