Adopt A Pet. Los Angeles County Animal Care Centers are located in Downey, Carson/Gardena, Baldwin Park, Lancaster, Castaic, Palmdale and Agoura. Over 60,000 animals each year enter our animal care centers, and many are wonderful pets in need of new homes.

Adoption Programs. Unique Pet Adoption Programs including specialized adoption programs, frequent off-site adoption events, shelter pet transports, and our adoptions partners help the Department successfully place more animals into new homes.
