Faro Los Morrillos de Cabo Rojo, also known as Los Morrillos Light, is a historic lighthouse located in Los Morrillos cape in the municipality of Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico.

Commonly known as “El Faro”, it is located at Los Morrillos Peninsula perched on commanding limestone cliffs that drop 200 feet into the Caribbean Sea. Lighthouse lovers will enjoy the simple elegance of the structure.
Cabo Rojo is a beautiful town in the southwest part of Puerto Rico. You can visit the Salt Flats first, then the Cabo Rojo Lighthouse , and finish the afternoon by relaxing at Playuela Beach. At night, you can visit La Parguera Bioluminescent Bay , which is a 30-minute drive from Cabo Rojo.
The lighthouse, located next to one of the Cabo Rojo’s more popular seaside destinations, La Playuela Beach, offers spectacular ocean views, comfortable hilltop hiking, access to local nature, a natural stone bridge (Puente de Piedra) and surrounding saltwater lagoons and marshes. Be prepared to take lots of pictures.
The layout of Cabo Rojo Lighthouse, which was the third lighthouse built in Puerto Rico, is very similar to those at Arecibo and Cabo San Juan. The one-story dwelling measures 90’x 37’, and its entrance is located on the north side of the structure, opposite the tower.
