15 Δεκ 2016 · I run Windows 7 64-bit and want to run XP to use old software. XP installed OK in VirtualBox, but the window in which it runs is 11" diagonally, even if I choose V iew/ F ull-screen mode in the XP window. Then the XP window just gets a thick black border but is still 11" diagonally.
7 Ιαν 2021 · Host: Win 10, 1920x1080. Guest: Win XP, 800x600. A simple illustration of what I want: In "fullscreen" mode the whole screen is black and there is a small 800x600 viewport in the middle. I want it to behave similarly to normal fullscreen apps, which stretch their viewport ignoring aspect ratio.

On our old Windows XP computers the resolution is 1024x768 and the shortcut that calls the DOS program has the option set to run in full screen. As soon as you double click it the DOS app loads full screen.
