Every observatory (some planetariums, too) on the list have public access to the BIG telescopes and most are completely FREE. Take note that this list is for open-to-the-public observatories located in America, only.
There are 45 astronomical observatories in the state of CA that have telescopes used for astronomy research. Some observatories are complexes that host multiple telescopes at the same site. Not all observatories may be open to the public. Please contact them for any public outreach programs.
