Camarillo State Mental Hospital, also known as Camarillo State Hospital, was a public psychiatric hospital for patients with both developmental disabilities and mental illness in Camarillo, California. The hospital was in operation from 1936 to 1997.
The former Camarillo State Hospital for the Insane was closed in 1997 and became the CSU-Channel Islands campus. The old hospital was begun in the early 1930s, but when the Roosevelt Administration came into office, the Public Works Administration (PWA) took over funding the project in 1934.

Governor Frank Merriam made the dedicatory address. The first patients were all adult males who resided in the Bell Tower. A year later, 300 women from other state hospitals arrived. There were so many transfers from other state hospitals that the North Complex had to open.
