The Accommodation Service exists to help all members of Cambridge University, from students and academics to staff and visiting scholars, to find suitable accommodation. It can advise on rents, letting arrangements and tenancy agreements, as well as information on schools, banking, medical practices and other local facilities.
University accommodation. The University has 1102 properties available for staff and students. 700 new homes will be located on the University’s North West Cambridge Development – a new district of Cambridge. Homes are available to rent to eligible members of the University.
The University Accommodation Service has an up-to-date list of temporary accommodation in Cambridge and surrounding areas. More information on availability of hotels and B&Bs can also be found on the Visit Cambridge website.
If you need short-term accommodation in Cambridge, there are many hotels and bed and breakfasts (B&B) in the city and surrounding area. The University's Accommodation Service can provide you with a list of temporary accommodation options.
University Staff Housing. An essential part of the vision for Eddington was to help key workers within the University of Cambridge find housing within the city. To that end, key worker homes are available to rent for qualifying staff members of the University, Colleges and Affiliated Institutions.
