All employees and workers in the UK must pay income tax. In the UK, most employees and workers’ pay Income Tax through the Pay as You Earn system (PAYE), which means that tax is automatically deducted from your salary each month.

Log in. You must have an online account with the University of Cambridge Accommodation Service to use this service. This service is only available to staff, members of the University/Affiliated Institutions and registered Landlords. Click here for more information on how to register.
Payroll. The Payroll Section is responsible for paying staff on a weekly and monthly basis. The section arranges collection of statutory deductions from pay, processing of salary sacrifice deductions and administers the Travel to Work scheme.

Online Payslips. The University's Employee Self-Service (ESS) system enables employees to view and download payslips online. Further details of ESS and the log-in page can be found on the HR Systems web pages.
Employee Self-service enables staff to: Supply HESA (Higher Education Statistics Agency) personal data. View and download online payslips. Add or amend contact details. Start receiving email notification of payslip availability. View absence data. View changes made through the ESS system. View P60. You will need a Raven password to access ESS.
