5 Αυγ 2020 · I have a Holden Commodore VE omega, I have recently replaced timing chain, Engine light went off for about 2weeks then came back on, have recently scanned it and the code that’s showing is P0019-camshaft position sensor (bank 2), intake signal faulty and P0174- mixture (bank 2) lean. I’m...
30 Ιουλ 2017 · Crankshaft position -Camshaft position correlation Bank 1 Sensor B. It says its a permanent fault. I cant clear it. Have swapped sensors around but fault remains the same and doesn't follow sensors. If Timing Chains are worn wouldn't the Fault be intermittent as its not electrical. Or do i replace crank sensor first. Cheers Wazza
4 Φεβ 2015 · cam angle sensor, cam position sensor are the same thing just different terminology. If you're getting a fault code indicating and issue then it needs to be checked out, firstly remove the sensor (It's in the timing cover on the left just below the water pump) then slowly turn the engine over by hand with a socket and breaker bar/long ratchet on the harmonic balancer bolt and watch in the hole ...
1 Ιουλ 2010 · So generally they can somtimes run a car minus a non-critical sensor, or the sensor may be to fine tune the running of the car, and as such the car will run with a rooted sensor albeit a bit crappy. If the vs still has the cas aswell, theres no reason why the ecu wouldnt be able to do algorithms based on the cas position to keep it putting along.
16 Ιαν 2017 · You will see it, the magnet has to pass the face of the sensor. As i said, different manufacturers that made up the timing gears or if it's been replaced by aftermarket will have different holes, but the magnet position will always be the same. It tells the computer where cylinder no.1 is at so it can fire the fuel injector sequence correctly.
14 Μαΐ 2012 · It was idling really rough and sometimes it would stall completely, basically, it just didnt run well at all. I found that the cam sensor pickup magnet, which is located in the camshaft sprocket, had fallen out of its hole in the sprocket. It had actually hit the pickup sensor, and it put a big gouge in it.
30 Δεκ 2017 · That's not saying it's not possible but I had engine light coming on randomly in my sidi 3.6 litre and I was thinking cam chains but Holden found a faulty sensor causing it. They changed the sensor and for $120 did the upgrade to the software at the same time and I have had no problems since.
2 Οκτ 2018 · The two (175KW) with screens are camshaft position actuators, the short ones you replaced are the sensors. I would bet one of your actuators is clogged, or just stuffed. Its a bit hard without checking the pulse signal to the actuator, but if it indicated left bank, then swap left to right (or vice versa) to see if the code follows the actuator.

21 Νοε 2013 · P0011 A camshaft position - timing over advanced or system performance (Bank 1) poor idle, bit down on performance, has a start-up rattle when cold maybe 3 seconds but the longer i let it sit the longer the start-up rattle lasts maybe 4-5 seconds. I did notice with the rocker covers off ,turning the engine by hand
