15 Μαρ 2014 · Kentucky is a great state to start your massage therapy business. But you must start from the beginning and work your way up through the licensing requirements. Set schooling, licensing, renewal and reciprocity requirements have been issued by the State Board that ensures.
(1) Persons duly licensed, registered, or certified as massage therapists in another state or territory, the District of Columbia, or a foreign country teaching a course related to massage therapy or consulting with a person licensed under KRS 309.350 to 309.364;
KENTUCKY BOARD OF LICENSURE FOR MASSAGE THERAPY. The Kentucky Board of Massage Therapy administers and enforces its statutory authority and monitors the needs of the consuming public. The board examines and licenses all eligible candidates for entry into the profession as a massage therapist.
Some massage schools offer some massage therapy classes and resources online but require in-class instruction to graduate. For example, Renton Technical College in Washington state offers a therapeutic massage program with hybrid classes, and it's approved and certified by the Washington State Board of Massage.
