Each site has a picnic table, grill, fire ring, lantern post, tie posts, tack tables, and electrical hookups. Up to two vehicles are allowed at each site.

Canebrake Horse camp is the newest campground in the Uwharrie National Forest. Located in the Badin Lake area, there are 32 miles of horse trails and a full range of amenities for horse campers. Visitors can also enjoy other Badin lake recreation opportunities such as fishing, waterskiing and hiking.
