We always partner with law enforcement agencies and support their search and rescue and recovery missions. Handlers and K9’s are nationally certified for field operations, and the team conducts local, regional, and state K9 SAR trainings weekly throughout the state.
Travis County Search and Rescue is a 501(c)(3) First Responder Organization based in Austin, Texas comprised of highly-trained professional, uniformed volunteers dedicated to providing search & rescue services to government agencies in times of need.
TEXSAR is an all-volunteer search and rescue team. Our members come together from across the state to help communities in their time of need. We strongly encourage you to attend an in-person meeting prior to submitting an application.

Our Mission. Rescue ATX Dogs supports and finds placement for at-risk dogs from streets and shelters in Austin. We aim to enhance the state of animal welfare in Austin through advocacy, matchmaking dogs with families, and engaging the community in rescue efforts.
