11 Ιουλ 2024 · Downloads folder won't open. When I click the Downloads tab on Windows Explorer, it says "Working on it" and then the folder freezes. I have tried restarting, I have tried clearing its Quick Access feature, I have tried restoring to default location. I'm not sure what to do at this point.

28 Ιουν 2014 · Files, folders, & storage. I cannot open my downloads folder. I get an error message: This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Please install a program or, if one is already installed.
3 Απρ 2020 · When I click on the download folder in the Windows 10 Explorer I just see "Working on it..." and it never opens. See screen capture images below for other messages.
16 Απρ 2011 · I am unable to access my "Downloads" Folder. When I click on it a error message pops up titled Explorer.exe. It reads "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action.
30 Μαΐ 2012 · Look under your User Name to see if you have a Downloads folder. If not you may be able to restore it from Recycle Bin. Otherwise you'll need to recreate the shell User Downloads folder using Option Two here: User Folders - Restore Default Location
4 Ιουλ 2023 · Restarting the Windows Explorer process is an easy way to fix temporary issues with File Explorer. If it’s just a one-off glitch, this should get the Downloads folder to operate smoothly on your PC.
3 Απρ 2012 · This morning I cannot open the downloads folder. It worked fine yesterday, but today when I tried to open it (I can see it just fine using the link C:/users/joe/downloads) it simply does not open...no error message either.
