Cape Raoul is a rural locality and a natural feature in the local government area of Tasman in the South-east region of Tasmania. It is located about 13 kilometres (8.1 mi) south of the town of Nubeena .
1 Ιαν 2024 · The Cape Raoul Walk is a captivating and often breathtaking journey located within the Tasman National Park in the south-eastern corner of Tasmania. This 14km return walk is known for its stunning views and diverse natural attractions, including the famous dolerite cliffs and Raoul Bay.
Stunning coastal seascapes that include rock platforms, towering cliffs and columns, off-shore islands and swirling seas. Take your lunch, spend some time and gaze in awe at majestic views.
From there on the 14km return walk, through heath and light forest, it’s never far from those jaw-dropping cliffs. The stunning coastal scenery continues all the way out to Cape Raoul. The dolerite cape drops dramatically into the ocean. Keep an eye out for seals on the rocks and small islands below.
3 Ιουν 2024 · Cape Raoul is the southernmost cape on Tasmania's untamed Tasman Peninsula. The cape is accessible via a hike from the newly-established Cape Raoul Trailhead Carpark, approximately 112 km from Hobart , or just 18 km (20 minutes) from Port Arthur .
A five-hour, 14km return walk with stunning coastal views, seascapes and towering dolerite cliffs, Cape Raoul is one of the most loved and easily accessed of the three capes. Located next to the world-famous surf spot, Shipstern Bluff, it’s surrounded by huge pounding waves, swirling seas and an abundance of sea life.

With few steep sections, this hike takes about 5 hours to complete and offers ample time for relaxing and enjoying expansive views of surrounding areas from Bruny Island all the way south to Hobart on Tasmania’s southern peninsula!
