10 Ιουν 2021 · Can anyone tell me if these relays are interchangeable. I can order a new relay from amazon for less than $20 apiece but they don't specify if it is the A or B relay. I'd rather order from amazon than pay $60 apiece from the honda dealer.

17 Αυγ 2009 · Also on your GL1500, there is a starter relay switch B (between the relay A and the starter). Look at your Honda service manual page 18-3, you will see both relays.
22 Απρ 2014 · The part #'s on Honda's parts site strongly suggest a difference - 35850-MCA-003 and 35850-MZ0-J10, both labeled as SW, STARTER MAGNETIC. Are they - essentially - the same? If not, how do I know which relay replaces the old (new for old)?
Starter Motor Power Supply and Connection Inspection. Remove the fuel tank (page 5-90). Check for loose or poorly connected cable terminals at the starter motor, and an open circuit in the starter motor cable between starter relay switch B and the starter motor.
The relays under the seat have some multiples for swapping, but there’s only two starter relays and they both have to work for it to start. Probing for the correct voltages on their control circuits is the easiest way to narrow down an issue with them.
1 Ιαν 2023 · The best way to know is by part number. For 5th gens, the 'A' and 'B' relays can be found under the battery section of a parts fishe. Possibly the same is true for 4th gens. If the part numbers are the same, you'll be good to go. For 5th gens, there are different part numbers for 2001-05s and 2006-17s.
