  1. 9 Σεπ 2024 · Cardiac axis represents the sum of depolarisation vectors generated by individual cardiac myocytes. Clinically is is reflected by the ventricular axis, and interpretation relies on determining the relationship between the QRS axis and limb leads of the ECG (below diagram)

  2. The cardiac axis refers to the general direction in which the heart depolarises. Each wave of depolarisation begins at the Sinoatrial node, then spreads to the Atrioventricular node, before travelling to the Bundle of HIS and the Purkinje fibres to complete an electrical cardiac cycle.

  3. 6 Μαρ 2011 · What is cardiac axis? Cardiac axis represents the overall direction of electrical activity as it spreads through the cardiac conduction system. In other words, it represents the net effect of all generated action potentials within the heart.

  4. The electrical axis of the heart (heart axis). As evident from the figure, the normal heart axis is between –30° and 90°. If the axis is more positive than 90° it is referred to as right axis deviation. If the axis is more negative than –30° it is referred to as left axis deviation.

  5. 10 Μαΐ 2022 · I have created an open source webapp hosted on CardiacAxis.com. Here you will be able to analyse in English and German the ECG variations with axis deviation. The Axis trainer online is interactive and the arrow can be moved to demonstrate each of the specific QRS complex changes.

  7. 26 Απρ 2016 · The QRS mean vector is an important calculation when reading an ECG as it provides vital information regarding ventricular depolarization, conduction abnormalities, chamber hypertrophy, and other crucial data. As with the P wave, this axis is determined by the frontal plane leads .
