Cardinal Newman is a large Catholic mixed comprehensive school for pupils aged 11 to 18 in Hove.
The school was set up primarily to serve the Catholic community in the Brighton and Hove deanery. Although Catholic children have priority of admission, the Governing Body also welcomes applications from those of other denominations and faiths who support the religious ethos of the school.
We are the largest Catholic School in England and our size allows us to provide something for everyone at many different levels, both within our curriculum and our exceptionally wide range of extra-curricular clubs and experiences.
A very warm welcome to Cardinal Newman Catholic School. Our school is named after one of England’s foremost Catholics, Saint John Henry Newman. We are proud to be associated with his love of learning and his strong commitment to providing the best pastoral support for those in his care.
