A Cardiolite treadmill stress test is an exercise test that is helpful in detecting the presence of coronary artery disease. Coronary artery disease occurs when the heart’s vessels become partially blocked or narrowed by the build-up of fatty materials preventing the heart from receiving the blood it needs to function properly.
Imaging Protocols. Suggested Cardiolite ® One-Day Rest/Stress 1,2. Using this protocol, you can complete imaging in one day. A low-dose Cardiolite ® rest study is followed by a higher-dose stress study.
CARDIOLITE STRESS TEST. Appointments Scheduled for 11:30, 12:00 or 12:30 follow these instructions. PATIENT ISTRUCTIONS. You may eat a light breakfast (toast, cereal, grits, oatmeal) the morning of the test. DO NOT drink any beverage that contains caffeine (this includes decaffeinated beverages). You may drink anything else the morning of the test.
