Suggested Cardiolite ® One-Day Rest/Stress 1,2. Using this protocol, you can complete imaging in one day. A low-dose Cardiolite ® rest study is followed by a higher-dose stress study.
CARDIOLITE® is a myocardial perfusion agent indicated for: detecting coronary artery disease by localizing myocardial ischemia (reversible defects) and infarction (non-reversible defects) evaluating myocardial function and developing information for use in patient management decisions.
The Cardiolite stress test is a diagnostic exam used to evaluate the supply of blood to your heart muscle. Your heart receives blood from the coronary arteries. If these arteries become partially blocked or narrowed, your heart will not receive the blood that it needs for proper function.
Most Cardiolite Stress Tests take approximately three and a half (3 ½) hours and can be completed in one day. Your test may be scheduled as a two day protocol, which will require you to come in two consecutive days.
CARDIOLITE STRESS TEST. Your physician has ordered a Cardiolite stress test. This is a procedure that will provide your doctor with valuable diagnostic information about the health of your heart. The radiation exposure you will receive is less that that associated with many x-ray procedures.
